1. Spread the lotion in a hand after hand effleurage manner on all areas of shin (3-5 movements) |
2. While tightly surrounding the shin apply consecutive hand after hand motions. Repeat the movement 3 to 5 times. |
3. With both thumbs, applying pressure, initiating from the ankle area and finishing approximately at the knee, massage the soft tissues on each side of the tibia bone. Repeat the movement 3 to 5 times. |

4. Extend the client’s elbow and flip the arm over to a supine position. Perform steps 1-3 on the ventral side of the forearm. |

6. With both thumbs under pressure, massage the ventral side of the forearm area 3-5 strokes for each portion. |

7. Continue to effleurage while changing position to stand in front of the forearm. While surrounding forearm with both hands, perform hand after hand effleurage (arms will criss-cross during this techniques) 3-5 times. |

8. Perform petrissage #1, (3-4 kneadings on one area of forearm before moving to another area) on the dorsal part of the forearm. |

9. Turn your back to the patient’s/client’s head, beginning on the medial side of the knee, ending at the client’s hip, brush/comb the thigh hand after hand 3-5 times.
10. Perform petrissage #2 (3-4 kneadings on one area of forearm before moving to another area) on the dorsal part of the forearm |

11. Support lower arm with thigh and perform guitar action (shake muscle quickly, one hand after the other) on the inner portion of the lower arm. |
